This week Google updated its search engine to allow iPhone OS 3.0 users access to the My Location feature. When users pull up
Google's homepage on the Safari browser, the feature will be available for selection.
Simply pull up the page and tap the "update" button to refresh your location. This feature allows users to search locally without specifying a location. Joshua Siegel, product manager with the Google Mobile Team, said a simple search for "jazz clubs" while in New York City
returned a number of locations within walking distance.
The feature is available in the U.S. and U.K. in English, and will be in other countries and languages in the future. The My Location feature also works in the Google Mobile downloadable app.
