LIVESTRONG Calorie Tracker guides iPhone athletes

Posted Tue, Nov 4, 2008 5:10 PM by Aidan Malley
Bicyclists, runners and other amateur or professional athletes watching their diets should now have a professional option for the iPhone and iPod touch through the LIVESTRONG Calorie Tracker (free, App Store).

The app from Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong's health-oriented company lets users find the foods they normally eat on a given day and check the calories, carbohydrates, fat and protein these generate either individually or over the course of a day.

It also includes common activities or exercises and their own calorie burn rate, both of which help owners determine whether their amount of physical exercise compares well against what they eat.

LIVESTRONG also promises more iPhone apps in the future.
