Blog software developer WordPress on Tuesday
released the first Open Source application that lets users posts to and edit their WordPress blogs from an iPhone or iPod Touch running iPhone Software v2.0.

Download] works with both WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress (2.5.1 or higher) blogs. Among its features are support for photo uploads, categories and tags, and true previews via an embedded version of Safari.
Users also have the ability to auto-recover posts interrupted by phone calls, and can password protect a post, save a post as a draft, or mark a post for later review.
