Our anonymous viewer seems to have obtained this information from a previously unreleased (but now available) MacWorld Supplement. Our notes are outlines. We encourage viewers interested in this story to read it in full at MacWorlds PowerBookUser Supplement Page.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below is an outline of PowerBookXXX story-The Thin Line Power Book model (Shown Below) will be razor thin while still delivering a full complement of ports and even an expansion bay for a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
-The Second Model is beyond awesome, the keyboard, which is mounted where the screen normally goes in a portable, comes with "snap-lock" hinges
allowing the user to remove it. The computer and its components are actually mounted behind the screen, not underneath the keyboard.
-When the keyboard is separated from the screen module(which also contains the HD, Processor and so on), it doesn't require wires to communicate, instead it relies on a wireless radio transceiver to communicate with the Screen Module (The Computer).
-The user will be able to operate the computer via "remote control" from any angle and any position.
-The members of the Industrial Design Group at Apple are amazing. Not being able to overcome the inherent inability of LCD screens to switch resolutions, they "thought differently" and instead developed a huge, 14-inch active-matrix color screen that will automatically switch orientation from landscape mode to portrait mode when the user pivots the portable. The Apple TM Logo has been thoughtfully placed at the bottom and on the right hand side of the screen model for perfect appearance during any situation.
-There was a time way back when MacWorld did a markup of the future powerbook (which they envisioned, not Apple) and in the markup were detachable fuzzy speakers. Well, it looks like Apple took their advice and produced form-fitting speakers that plug into special sockets on either side of PowerBook's chassis.
-Upon removal of the speakers, the user will be able to snap the two together in order to prevent damage when transporting the PowerBook.

MacOS 8.1 (Bride Of Buster) Alpha4
After careful review of the copyright laws and Apple's claims against us we have made some adjustments and are now reposting MacOS 8.1 Screen Shots. This type of situation has come up many times before with sites such as Inside AOL, AOL Sucks, MacRumorMill(this isn't why it went down) and now recently MacInsider. We would be categorized with the first two I've listed, which still retain the right to post the images and text they please.
Under US copyright law, anyone can use copyrighted materials in criticism, review, or parody; this is called fair use. The material we post is used in "review of product", and for teaching or otherwise informative purposes. Therefor the material previously in question is, in fact, legal. The nature of the material is without a doubt mild and occupies a minute percentage of the related copyrighted work, as a whole.
Release Notes/Seed Notes/Internal Documentation are in violation of the laws discussed above when presented in their entirety and are also disclosed by
Apple to third parties only pursuant to non-disclosure agreements; we will no long perform such acts that we feel violates these laws and agreements. However, small pieces of these documents used in review are again, in fact, legal.Still in it's Alpha state, MacOS8.1, otherwise known as Bride Of Buster, is very stable. There are a tremendous amount of bug fixes.
8.1 will come with new versions of OT and hopefully Quicktime. Although I can not confirm this at the present time, it seems like memory management has increased tremendously.
No Menu tasking isn't a feature, at least not now.
We will continue our coverage of 8.1 as it reaches its Beta phase, stay tuned.

Myth, The Fallen Lords, Beta1 Preview
Myth, by Bungie, has finally hit it's beta stage. The comments we have so far are, play control is a little hard to master at first. There are lots of little things that stand out as needing to be fixed. The networking isn't stable enough at all. Recommend more then 100mhz to play. Levels are hard(first 2 at least). You must know play control well. Effective troop usage is the name of the game. The tutorial is *extremely* helpful. No menu bar support at all. You can't switch apps while running the beta, even if the desktop is in sight. No mac-specific features besides appletalk that are prominent.
Otherwise the game is awesome.
Enjoy the Screen Shots Below.
